A symposium which opens the free 3 night Love Light Norwich festival, exploring the inclusive nature of the Arts.
To mark the launch and celebrate the return of Love Light Norwich, the Love Light Norwich symposium gives an insight into the partnership working required to bring the 3 night festival back to Norwich. This free city centre festival transforms the City of Stories with amazing artworks, stunning projections, brilliant performance and much, much more.
The keynote speaker is comedy writer and performer Karl Minns. Well known in Norfolk as one half of The Nimmo Twins, Karl has written for Have I Got News For You and Spitting Image, amongst other popular shows. In his moving one-man show Sortabiography, he explored his mental health journey through his career as a comedian.
Other speakers include Love Light Norwich artists Shaun PRICKIMAGE and VJ OUTLAW, emerging artists Holly Sandiford and Aaron Griffin, Engagement and Community Manager for Artlist Kirstie Tostevin, Debbie Thompson from Little Theatre Sheringham, Norwich University of the Arts Senior Lecturer Desmond Brett and Executive Director of The Garage Adam Taylor.
In the symposium we will hear about how the arts have helped those who at times have felt isolated through loneliness, disability or mental health challenges. We will learn how we can build inclusivity into the workplace and hospitality settings.
There will also be a spectacular flavour of what to expect over the Love Light Festival weekend. Please book your place for what promises to be a fun and informative event.
There will be a BSL interpreter at the Love Light Norwich Symposium.
Please note photography and filming will take place at this event.
